It has been deemed necessary to inform the public regarding the written statement published on 23 October 2025 by the Deputy Chair of the main opposition party.

The project referred to in the statement, titled “Support Project for Registered Agricultural Employment for Refugees and Turkish Citizens through Improved Market Linkages (FESAS),” was carried out under the technical coordination of the World Bank within the framework of the grant agreement signed between the World Bank and our Institution on 24 November 2020.

In summary, the FESAS Project aimed to strengthen the labor skills of Turkish citizen farmers and workers, Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTP), and other migrants, and to increase their participation in the registered labor market within the agricultural sector.

The FESAS Project was successfully completed on 30 June 2025, having achieved its planned objectives with the knowledge and approval of the World Bank and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. Accordingly, a new grant agreement has been signed between the World Bank and our Institution, and the related processes are ongoing.

The aforementioned statement includes certain allegations specifically concerning our Deputy General Manager, Mr. Mehmet Okan ATEŞ. First and foremost, our Deputy General Manager stepped down from his role as coordinator of the FESAS Project on 12 December 2022, and to date, no investigation, inquiry, or similar process has taken place regarding any of his duties, including those carried out within the scope of the project. Furthermore, all allegations raised in the statement are unfounded and entirely fictitious.

We strongly condemn the opposition approach demonstrated by the individual in question, who has misled the public by presenting easily verifiable claims as if they were true, and who has issued a statement filled with falsehoods, inaccuracies, and slander in a manner that damages the reputation of individuals and institutions.

In this context, we respectfully inform the public that all legal rights will be exercised against the individual concerned, including the filing of a criminal complaint with the Office of the Public Prosecutor.
